I am the founder of SMNC Consulting, providing high-impact, project-based finance and advisory support to senior leaders. I specialize in taking on the work executives often wish they had time to tackle - bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to complex initiatives.
I earned a BSBA in Accounting from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where I also interned on Capitol Hill. I began my career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working in both Washington, DC and San Francisco with a focus on not-for-profit organizations and advisory work. I later joined the corporate office of Ross Stores as Financial Reporting Manager, where I was responsible for SEC filings and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
I founded SMNC Consulting in 2015 and have since partnered with CFOs and organizational leaders on projects requiring analytical rigor, sound judgment, and clear communication. My work is hands-on, practical, and results-driven. I focus on addressing issues at their root and seeing important projects through to completion.
In parallel with my consulting work, I have been deeply involved in education and community initiatives. As an adjunct faculty member at Las Positas College, I taught business courses inside a Federal prison, working with justice-impacted students and gaining a perspective on education and opportunity that continues to shape my work today. I am also active in community advocacy and successfully pushed for the adoption of a local business preference policy for city contracts after years of stalled efforts. In addition, I served as Treasurer on the board of directors of a local nonprofit for six years.
I believe leadership is rooted in responsibility, empathy, and doing the right thing - even when it is difficult. Outside of work, I am a parent of two and enjoy traveling with my kids, learning from new places and perspectives, and building meaningful connections along the way.
